Motorists who have recently taken out comprehensive car insurance for a Honda model may agree that the manufacturer's performance in a recent poll is "fantastic news".

The latest Which? Car reliability survey placed four of the company's models in the top seven.

In first position was the Accord, followed by the most recent edition of the Jazz.

Meanwhile, the predecessor to the second-placed model clinched sixth spot and the Civic Hybrid came in at seven.

Commenting on the importance of having a dependable vehicle, the manufacturer's head of customer services - Matt Gibson - said all motorists deserve a reliable auto.

He added: "It's fantastic news that four of the top seven cars featured in the survey are Hondas."

Meanwhile, motorists who decide to buy a model from the manufacturer because they are convinced it could help them reduce costs - as they are unlikely to have to shell out for repairs on a regular basis - may find they can save even more money by searching for cheap comprehensive car insurance online.
