27 July 2009 Car insurance policyholders told of Fiat 500C's perkiness
The Fiat 500C is ideal for car insurance customers who want a "dinky" and "bubbly" car to lift their spirits in a difficult economy, according to a reviewer.Erin Baker took the convertible for a spin and wrote up her experience for the Telegraph.
Although the price, which starts at £11,300, is "high" for a vehicle this size, it is better value than the Mini, she said.
Performance was not elaborated on further than to say the ride was "bouncy" and the handling "woolly", because Ms Baker said people are more likely to be interested in how the 500C looks.
The folding roof has some "clever touches", she added. Drivers can either roll it back halfway or completely and the rear parking sensors add to the auto's convenience.
Those who choose to buy the car in pale blue will find they have the prettiest motor on the market, Ms Baker concluded.
Her sentiments about the 500C were recently echoed by supermodel Elle Macpherson, who said the cabriolet was great for city driving.
