A dealership in Romford has been credited for excellence and this could tempt car insurance policyholders looking to buy a new auto.

Mazda seller Amarjit Shokar was given the Motor Trader Dealer Principal Award, which was sponsored by eBay's car business.

He was recognised for doing a "fantastic job" and for his encouragement of staff to make decisions about how to improve customer service.

Managing director of Mazda UK Jeremy Thomson said Mr Shokar's style is "perfect" for the brand.

He added: "Our sales growth and new products like Mazda2 and the newly-launched Mazda3 is making the brand more attractive than ever."

Last month saw the marque celebrate the 20th birthday of the Mazda MX-5 by launching the 2009 version of the model.

The car is currently available in showrooms and is said to have "athletic" styling in addition to better fuel economy and a new six-speed transmission system. Prices start from £16,345 on the road.
