08 July 2009 Majority of Nissan car insurance customers 'buy British'
The number of people searching for cheap car insurance for British-built Nissan models may have increased last month, if recent figures are anything to go by.Data provided by the manufacturer show it sold more new autos in June than during the same four-week period in 2008 - with most customers opting for vehicles produced on home soil.
The Qashqai and Qashqai+2 attracted about a third of the buyers.
A quarter opted for the Micra, 23 per cent went for the Note and ten per cent demonstrated a preference for the Pixo.
Overall, the firm's year-on-year sales were up nine per cent.
Managing director Paul Willcox said it was a great achievement.
"Everyone here at Nissan is proud to be one of the few brands to have made positive growth in June," he stated.
Meanwhile, motorists looking for comprehensive car insurance for a new model from the manufacturer may find a cheap deal online.
