Nissan unveils plans to help motorists cut costs Motorists who always make the time to search for cheap comprehensive car insurance may be impressed by a Nissan project designed to help drivers make savings in other areas.

The company has announced it is launching an eight-month programme, during which the behaviour of people behind the wheel will be analysed in order to find ways road users can reduce fuel consumption and cut costs.

As well as the intended financial benefits, the study is also designed to help motorists do their bit for the planet by reducing CO2 emissions.

Senior vice-president Minoru Shinohara commented: "Nissan is taking a holistic approach towards sustainable mobility."

He explained: "Reducing CO2 by making our vehicles more efficient is just one element – equally significant are the people behind the wheel."
