A new Volkswagen online resource may inspire more Brits to consider buying the sort of vehicles that generally require van insurance.

The manufacturer explained it is launching vwescape.co.uk to celebrate the kind of autos that have become popular over the years because they help people escape their day to day routine and take part in a range of exciting hobbies.

It said the new website will showcase models like the Caravelle people carrier, California campervan and Transporter kombi.

Visitors will also be able to see images of famous people enjoying taking part in various activities with the help of their very own Volkswagen vehicles, including Olympic windsurfer Bryony Shaw and Radio One DJ Jo Whiley.

In addition to this, links to social networking sites will allow users to show clips of the leisure activities they like to indulge in.

Meanwhile, Volkswagen recently revealed it had awarded Listers van service centre in Stratford-upon-Avon authorised repairer status.
