The organisation claimed the document is essential reading for anyone who takes to the road during the course of their professional duties.

BVRLA chief executive John Lewis stated: "The information in this guide is equally applicable to drivers covering many miles each day or just a few each month."

The publication has been approved by the patron of Roadsafe, Prince Michael of Kent.
