Car insurance policyholders looking for a new model might want to check out the forthcoming Volvo.

As well as introducing new engine technologies, the manufacturer has unveiled its refreshed Volvo S80, which has been updated outside and in.

Three new diesel engines will be available in the vehicle, providing lower fuel consumption and emissions.

In addition, the R-Design Interior Pack is something buyers can now experience. It includes leather-faced front seats, steering wheel and gearknob, as well as aluminium pedals and sports floor mats.

Prices are due to start at £21,475 for the lower-carbon emissions version

Meanwhile, earlier this week saw Volvo announce the launch of a PC-based racing game based on its motoring technology.

Volvo - The Game can be downloaded from the internet and includes simulations of various vehicles such as the S60 Concept and S40.

Players are able to choose which "highly authentic" tracks they would like to tackle. The options are Gothenburg Eco Drive Arena in Sweden and Kiev's Chayka.
