New Minis could be ideal for car insurance policyholders who want to swap their existing motor for a special edition.

At Mini United 2009 - an event to celebrate 50 years of the marque - the 50 Camden, 50 Mayfair and John Cooper Works World Championship 50 were launched.

The first two will be manufactured for a limited period of 12 months, starting this August.

Features of the 50 Mayfair include 3-D bonnet stripes in a Toffee shade, 12-spoke Infinity Stream alloy wheels and additional headlights on the grille.

The 50 Camden is coloured silver, black and white, with special logos decorating the trim and "impressive" interior aesthetics.

Finally, the John Cooper model - coloured the signature Connaught Green - is based on the current Works Hatch but has been given numerous upgrades.

There will only be 250 of these made, each of which will have a unique production number.

However, those looking for a standard model in the Mini line-up can have a look at the One, Cooper or Clubman.
