28 April 2009 New cars from Toyota available next month
May 1st is the confirmed launch date for Toyota's new cars, which include eight different specifications of the third-generation Verso.The seven-seater now has more room and offers three grades depending on the needs of the buyer.
Each is equipped with the Optimal Drive system aimed at providing stronger performance together with better fuel economy and reduced emissions.
Toyota said the Verso also brings style and safety to UK drivers.
It includes "advanced equipment features" such as a rear parking monitor and an onboard hard disk drive, with additional gadgets available with each grade.
Prices start from £16,750 on the road.
Meanwhile, Toyota also celebrated this week after an online retailer chose the iQ as its company car - TheHut.com gave vehicles to 15 of its staff.
Head of e-commerce for the website Dominic Starkey said it is not only an opportunity for on-car branding but also a "leader in its class from an environment angle, has a great spec and is one of the flagship products from a forward-thinking company".
Car insurance providers may need to be informed should a consumer wish to use their car for business purposes as well as leisure.
