22 April 2009 Skoda Octavia vRS and Scout 'get facelifts'
Skoda has taken the wrapping off two of its models that have been "facelifted".According to the company, the Octavia vRS and Scout have been updated to make them fit better into the manufacturer's current product range.
The vRS has undergone a number of aesthetic changes, including a redesigned front grille, 18-inch Neptune alloy wheels and LED lamps.
It is available in a new colour - Anthracite - and is up to 20 kg lighter than before.
Meanwhile, the Scout has also been produced in a new shade called Rosso Brunello for customers who want the latest in vehicular style.
The car has been given body-coloured side mouldings as well as front fog lights and a large front bumper.
Meanwhile, Skoda recently issued a warning to drivers who may be using their air conditioning systems for the first time since last summer.
It urged motorists to give their unit a spring-clean and minimise the chance of contamination, which can cause an unpleasant odour in the car and hayfever-like symptoms.
