14 April 2009 Second-hand Seats 'in demand'
People looking to buy a second-hand Seat so they can save money by opting for third party insurance may find there is quite a bit of competition for such models. The company pointed out some of its used motors have exceeded their expected values by some way this month.
It quoted figures from Cap that show a number of its models are going for 14 per cent more in April than they were in March.
Nearly-new, late-plate vehicles are proving particularly popular among buyers, the firm suggested.
Spokesman for the manufacturer David Ardern said there were good reasons the firm's second-hand models were selling well.
"The jump in Seat valuations ... clearly reflects the Spanish brand's popularity among used car buyers keen to snap up a stylish, well-equipped and sporty car," he stated.
Meanwhile, motorists who manage to secure a really cheap second-hand vehicle may find third party insurance is a more cost-effective option than comprehensive cover.
