03 April 2009 Mazda model may tempt female motorists
More women drivers may be tempted to take out car insurance for Mazda models after seeing the latest addition to the company's line-up.The revised MX-5 has enjoyed a make-over and now has more styling touches in common with other vehicles produced by the manufacturer - such as the TX-8 R3.
Buyers will be able to choose between a soft-top version of the car and a roadster coupe edition.
Meanwhile, female motorists may be impressed to hear Mazda has reduced the vehicle's carbon dioxide emissions, bringing them down from 174 g/km to 167 g/km on the 1.8 SE model.
Commenting on the 2009 range, sales and marketing director Mark Cameron said: "The latest exterior, interior and technical upgrades to the 2009 Mazda MX-5 range will ensure that the soft-top will continue to offer pure, fun-to-drive, open-top motoring thrills."
Women drivers may be able to secure a competitive insurance quote for the car as they are generally regarded as posing less of a risk behind the wheel than male motorists.
