16 March 2009 New Dispatch may tempt van insurance customers
Van insurance customers looking for a petrol-engined mid-size light commercial vehicle (LCV) might want to check out the brand new Citroen Dispatch. The manufacturer announced last week that it has added the Dispatch 1000 L1H1 2.0i to its LCV line-up as well as improving its other models.
Features that may tempt drivers to buy the new van include a five-speed manual gearbox, a payload of 988 kg, air conditioning as standard and heated door mirrors.
There is also remote central locking, electric windows in the front and a dual passenger seat.
Modifications to some of the other Citroen LCVs mean that each Dispatch Combi SX and 2.0HDi/2.0i powered Dispatch panel van will be equipped with an Onboard Trip Computer.
This gadget can provide details to the motorist, such as the range left given the amount of petrol in the tank and the current fuel consumption.
Meanwhile, last week saw the manufacturer launch another addition to its consumer offerings with a dual fuel version of the 1000 L1H1 2.0i van, making it exempt from the capital's congestion charge.
