Van insurance customers looking to buy a vehicle that can help them reduce their running costs may want to consider the latest offering from Ford.

The new Fiesta Van is priced at £9,025 and is capable of 67.3 mpg.

In addition to its fuel economy credentials, the model also qualifies for 1E and 2E light commercial vehicle insurance.

Steve Kimber from the manufacturer said the company was keen to build on the fact the vehicle already accounts for around 25 per cent of sales in the car-derived market.

He stated: "The van model was an integral part of the new Fiesta product plan and its superior quality really shows."

There are three versions of the vehicle available - the Fiesta Van, the Trend and Sportvan.

In other news, the latest Ford Ranger pick-up - which is due to go on sale later this year - was recently unveiled at the Geneva motor show.
