Van insurance customers considering updating their current vehicle may find Citroen has some affordable options.

The manufacturer has announced the launch of its Relay Specialist line-up and said the models offer "even better value than ever".

Consisting of a Tipper, Dropside and two Luton vans, the models all come with an unlimited two-year or a 100,000-mile/three-year warranty.

Robert Handyside, commercial vehicle operations manager, said: "It is possible, with our current pricing structure, for customers to purchase these new, manufacturer-approved vehicles for less than the 2009 equivalent Ready to Run models."

Citroen also pointed out the latest line-up offers improved levels of standard equipment.

All models come with reinforced, twin-leaf suspension and the Luton vans include aerodynamic head covers, which reduce fuel consumption as well as producing better performance.

Meanwhile, Citroen recently announced it would be giving away a Berlingo van to a participant in its Britain's Best Brekkie competition.
