17 February 2009 Fiat 500C may tempt motorists who like to turn heads
People who are keen to buy a small vehicle in order to reduce the amount they spend on comprehensive car insurance - but still want to turn heads - may do well to keep a close eye on the Geneva motor show. This is because Fiat has announced it is unveiling a cabriolet version of its 500 model.
Due to be launched across Europe in spring, the car is based on the 1957 open-top edition of the vehicle.
However, the manufacturer pointed out the model will come with state-of-the-art engineering and equipment.
It stated: "The Fiat 500C offers a delightful motoring experience at any time of the year."
The company added the vehicle is "one of the best equipped cabriolet models currently available in the city-car segment".
It comes in a number of exclusive colours, including Warm Grey and Pearl Red.
Last year, the Fiat 500 was named Auto Express's Best City Car 2008.
