17 February 2009 Comprehensive car insurance customers may find Yaris cuts costs
People looking to buy a small vehicle which qualifies for cheap comprehensive car insurance may find the new Toyota Yaris can help them make other savings as well.Michelin has revealed all future 1.0 VVT-i versions of the model will come with its Energy Saver tyres.
It stated this change has resulted in a reduction in fuel consumption of 0.2 litres/100 km and a cut in CO2 emissions of 4 g/km.
As a result, owners may find they make savings at the pump.
Michelin claimed the new tyres offer a variety of other benefits as well.
It said owners can expect a more comfortable driving experience, longer-lasting tread and improved grip.
A statement released by the tyre manufacturer said: "Through their development partnership, Michelin and Toyota are delivering simple, affordable solutions designed to make cars safer, more economical and more environmentally-friendly."
Meanwhile, motorists may be impressed to hear Michelin has provided the wheels for Nasa's most recent moon vehicle.
