Van insurance customers who desperately need to replace their current vehicle may welcome an announcement from Citroen Contract Motoring (CCM).

The group has revealed it is launching a variety of "very competitive" contract hire offers to help drivers struggling with cash-flow problems.

It claimed the new rates reflect its desire to help out its customers in the current economic downturn.

Covering selected Relay and Berlingo vans, the deals follow the recent expansion of CCM's product portfolio.

One option open to customers is to hire a new Berlingo 1.6 HDI 75 hp 625 L1 X vehicle from £169 a month.

Nigel Walker, national sales manager, stated: "CCM is committed to providing LCV operators with the optimum contract hire and leasing products to suit difficult financial conditions."

In January, Citroen announced the Dispatch 1200 XTR+ enhanced traction van had arrived on UK roads, describing it as a welcome addition to its light commercial vehicle line-up.
