Peugeot's "most economical car" has arrived in UK showrooms.

Car insurance customers looking for ways to save cash on fuel may be interested in the remodelled 107, which can manage 62.7 mpg with its "enthusiastic" 1.0-litre engine.

Moreover, it has the lowest CO2 emissions of any Peugeot vehicle at 106g/km and received four stars in adult protection tests carried out by EuroNCAP.

Four years after the 107's initial launch, the revamped model also has a new look and is available in three trim levels aimed at capturing a "youthful spirit".

The special edition, top-of-the-range Verve can be purchased in exclusive Mandalin Orange paintwork, while another new colour – Electra Blue – joins the range for the other options, the Urban and Urban Lite. The interior has been designed to accentuate the body, with matching or contrasting trims.

Peugeot has been putting another of its models – the 207 – through its places at the Intercontinental Rally Challenge first round in Monte Carlo this month.
