29 December 2008 Subaru 'could keep women drivers safe'
Women drivers who are keen to avoid a claim on their female car insurance this winter may benefit from investing in a Subaru, it has been suggested. The manufacturer said - with the weather unlikely to improve for a good few months - there has never been a better time to purchase a model featuring its all-wheel drive transmission, such as the new Impreza 330S.
It claimed, even in icy conditions, the system allows drivers to find traction, when a two-wheel drive car would be "slipping and sliding" across the road.
Lawrence Good, managing director with the manufacturer, stated: "Subaru's ability to provide reliable and safe driving - even in inclement weather conditions highlights our commitment to delivering state-of-the-art safety to ... [our] customers."
Meanwhile, Subaru recently reported its Boxer Diesel engine offers motorist a "fast, fun and frugal" experience behind the wheel, making it perfect for the current economic downturn.
The unit is available in the manufacturer's Forester, Legacy and Outback ranges.
