Van insurance customers may be impressed to hear Citroen has scooped three top honours at a recent ceremony.

At the latest Fleet Van Awards, the Berlingo was crowned Van of the Year and Best Small Van, while the Nemo was named Best City Van.

Citroen suggested the former vehicle had proved popular as a result of good green credentials and an excellent overall fleet package.

Meanwhile, it stated the Nemo had been a success because it offered businesses a variety of options - including a dual fuel model and extended warranties.

Commenting on the accolades, Robert Handyside from Citroen Commercial said: "We are delighted that the innovative design and advanced engineering of both the new Berlingo and Nemo vans have been recognised in the prestigious Fleet Van Awards."

This comes after the manufacturer recently announced it was expanding its light commercial vehicle line-up with the introduction of the new Berlingo L2.
