Motorists who are fans of the kind of vehicles which require 4x4 car insurance may be tempted by a new addition to the Jeep line-up.

However, a maximum of 100 of the Patriot S-Limited are due to be sold in the UK, so buyers may need to be quick.

Compared with the standard model, the special edition version will have a number of additional features - such as chrome grille surrounds, body-coloured door handles and mirrors and a rear parking sensor.

Managing director at Chrysler UK, Federico Goretti, claimed previous incarnations of the car have always been popular as they are stylish and practical, as well as being good value for money.

He stated: "The S-Limited is no exception and - with its distinctive black paint and chrome styling - it is one premium model that's destined to stand out from the crowd."

The new version of the model costs £19,810.

Earlier this year, the Patriot was one of the winners in 4x4 Magazine's annual awards.
