29 October 2008 Electric car company expands
Car insurance customers who want to do their bit for the environment and cut motoring costs may want to get themselves down to the Westfield shopping centre in Shepherds Bush, London, in the coming weeks.Nice Car Company is opening an outlet there and from tomorrow shoppers will be able to book a test drive and take a look at the electric vehicles on offer, including the Mega City and MyCar models.
Co-founder of the company Julian Wilford said Westfield was the perfect home for his firm as - like his products - it was stylish and would have a positive effect on the local environment.
"We look forward to showing visitors that well-designed, safe and affordable electric cars are available to buy right now," he added.
Nice claimed its zero-emission vehicles could help motorists save money as they are cheap to run and are exempt from paying road tax and the congestion charge.
Earlier this week, the company welcomed the government's announcement it was spending £100 million on promoting electric cars.
