Van insurance customers who are considering trading in their current model could save money by opting for a Piaggio light commercial vehicle, the manufacturer has claimed.

With prices starting from £6,295, it pointed out buyers can choose petrol editions in either two-wheel or four-wheel drive, while those looking for a more environmentally-friendly version can go for a zero-emission electric model.

Interested parties can also pick from six different body types - panel van, MPV, pick up, chassis cab, tipper and big deck.

Paggio described the range as "Britain's best value light commercial vehicles" and stated the fact it had been named What Van? Best Microvan for four consecutive years spoke volumes.

The manufacturer said its vehicles were ideal for small businesses, providing "a great value, practical solution" to companies' needs.

Meanwhile, this year's British International Motor Show included Piaggio Commercial Vehicles for the first time since it imported the Porter range into the UK.
