Environmentally-friendly car insurance customers who are considering buying a new vehicle may want to take a look at Fiat's new Panda.

The Eco has CO2 emissions of 119 grams per kilometre and customers will be able to choose between two versions - the Active and the Dynamic.

Fiat claimed the launch of the new model in the UK will help it to cement its reputation as Europe's leading low CO2 vehicle producer.

Marketing director in the UK Elena Bernardelli said: "This is another example of how seriously we take the environment issue, while offering drivers real value for money motoring."

The new model comes hot in the tyre tracks of the four-wheel drive Panda Cross and the family-friendly Panda Mamy.

Prices for the green motor start at £7,105.
