Female car insurance customers who are considering buying a new motor may be interested to hear that a women's motoring website has voted the Fiat 500 the sexiest vehicle of 2008.

Readers of evecars.com voted the vehicle as their favourite motor, with the Jaguar XF clinching second spot and the Mini Clubman coming in third.

Commenting on the top-placed model, editor of evecars.com Alex Jenner-Furst said the car was good value for money at just over £8,000.

She added: "The Fiat 500 is a great-looking supermini inside and out and is perfect for a city shopping trip, a weekend in the country or doing the school run in style."

Female car enthusiasts may also be interested to hear Citroen has announced it will unveil a concept coupe at this year's Paris Motor Show.

The Hypnos has been described by the carmaker as an "exceptional" cross-over vehicle with elegance.
