05 September 2008 Warning for motorists before crackdown begins

Wycombe crackdown announced. Drivers in Wycombe are being warned to stop parking their vehicles illegally before a major crackdown comes into effect, it has been reported.

The Bucks Free Press has stated that Wycombe district council will be enforcing the rules from October 1st 2008, with the body warning that tougher patrols will take place.

It could be that motorists caught breaking the law in such a manner find that they pick up convictions which compromise their car insurance policies.

This is because some cover firms could see those who get into trouble as a risk on the road.

Councillor Audrey Jones remarked: "There is a minority of motorists who seem to have little regard for road markings and signs and park wherever and however they like."

This comes as the South Wales Evening Post has reported that 230 motorists have been given warning tickets ahead of a new enforcement scheme which will begin on Monday.
