The Classic Motor Show is set to celebrate a number of significant milestones in the automotive industry this autumn.

Car insurance customers and motoring enthusiasts at the Birmingham event will have the opportunity to celebrate the 60th birthdays of Porsche, Land Rover and Honda.

Meanwhile, the Ford Model A is set to celebrate its 80th anniversary and Skoda will commemorate its 50th year of rallying.

Some 1,000 vehicles are set to be displayed at the event - which takes place at the Birmingham NEC from November 14th to 16th - organisers have revealed.

In addition, a new pavillion featuring displays of unusual and rare motorbikes will be set up next to the Classic Motor Show halls.

Meanwhile, classic car enthusiasts may be interested in purchasing the DVD of last year's event.

The Classic Motor Show 2007 DVD is presented by Tim Harvey - a former British touring car champion - and includes footage of popular classic cars and interviews of their owners and keepers.
