Car insurance customers interested in up-and-coming vehicles may be interested in the new Kia Soul, which is set to be displayed in France in October.

The vehicle will be on show at the Paris Salon de l'Automobile next month in advance of its official launch in mainland Europe in February 2009.

It is thought the car will be available for UK drivers from next spring, with production of a right-hand drive model scheduled to begin in March.

"We can't wait to see it on UK roads," said Paul Philpott, managing director of Kia Motors.

"Its unique modern looks and strong individual appeal will make it a 'must-have' for everyone," he added.

Car insurance customers looking to purchase a new Kia Soul next year will be able to select from a choice of fuel-efficient diesel or petrol engines.

According to previous reports from AutoExpress, the vehicle will be priced from £11,000.
