The Jaguar XF has been given a top automobile award from an industry publication.

Auto Express has given its Car of the Year prize to the vehicle as part of its New Car Honours 2008 ceremony.

This is the latest prize the model has picked up since it was launched in March, following gongs from What Car? magazine, What Diesel magazine, the Sun Motoring and Top Gear magazine.

And car insurance customers who own the vehicle may feel like Jaguar Cars UK managing director Geoff Cousins - "absolutely thrilled".

"This has been a fantastic year for Jaguar with the XF leading the success of our revitalisation plan ... We couldn't be more pleased with the reaction it has received," he said.

Gadget website T3.com this week unearthed pictures of a motorcycle built to resemble the Jaguar logo.
