01 August 2008 Research shows strangest items left in vehicles
Some of the strangest items left in rental cars have been revealed in a new survey.According to vehicle lease service Europcar, a false leg, a cooked sausage and a half a pint of beer along with a speed seduction CD have all been left behind.
These items are stark contrast to the most common things drivers forget, which the company claims are sunglasses, keys, CDs and satellite navigation devices.
Speaking on behalf of Europcar, Catriona Lougher said: "The size and variety of Europcar's fleet obviously attracts customers from all walks of life, judging by the bizarre objects staff find left in vehicles."
This comes as Europcar recently set up a hotline for rental vehicle customers to claim assistance over their car insurance should they be involved in an accident.
It is hoped that by using First Call, rental vehicle users can streamline the process of claiming.
