24 June 2008 'Horrendous road needs more signage'
A road in Wales needs to be more clearly signposted in order to alert drivers to its dangers, it has been claimed.Gail Dixon made the statement after losing her 18-year-old son Aaron in a crash on an A5 stretch between Corwen and Llangollen, the Daily Post has reported.
She further told the news source that she should not "want anyone else to lose a loved one on this horrendous road".
Indeed, it may be that the extra signage helps save lives, or at the least assists local motorists in keeping their car insurance costs to a minimum.
Ms Dixon said: "There needs to be more warning signs to let drivers know that the road is slippery, it would also be a good idea for the road surface to be improved and reduce the possibility of any accidents."
The same publication earlier this month reported on the death of a 19-year-old man on the A496 at Llanaber near Barmouth.
