19 June 2008 3 Suffolk drivers pick up drink-drive bans
Drink-driving bans were handed out to three motorists in Suffolk this week, according to a local news source. The Ipswich Evening Star has stated that a builder, a bricklayer and a pub manager were taken off the roads after being found by police above the limit.
In addition, the news source stated that one of the drivers had 110mg of alcohol in their system, when the law states that 80mg is the maximum amount permitted.
A driving ban can have a serious effect on a car insurance policy if cover firms judge the recipient as a risk on highways.
Indeed, insurance companies could consider those with previous convictions to be dangerous drivers.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that actor and singer Darren Day was charged with being over the legal alcohol limit on the road.
The entertainer tested above the limit by police while travelling in Cardiff.
