Drivers in Britain have pointed to the rising cost of petrol as their biggest road concern in a new survey.Motors.co.uk's research shows that close to two-thirds (63 per cent) of motorists cited it as their main worry, according to Motor Trader.
Congestion was the next most-pressing issue for drivers, with 21 per cent stating their concern at clogged-up roads, it added.
Indeed, more vehicles on highways mean a greater chance of an accident, which could result in people compromising their car insurance policies.
Environmental issues trouble 14 per cent of motorists, although the research found that 34 per cent of people would decide on a car based on fuel.
This comes as a new novel way to fill up has been unveiled in the Netherlands.
Reuters reports that the Tankpitstop robot injects petrol into fuel tanks while motorists wait.
"Drivers needn't get dirty hands or smell of petrol again," said developer Nico van Staveren.
