17 December 2007 Warrington motorists warned of road danger

Warrington motorists warned of road trouble. Drivers in the north-west have been warned of the dangers of one of the worst roads in the region, it has been reported.

According to the Northwich Guardian, Manchester Road in Woolston has seen a number of serious accidents, including two which were fatal.

It may be that those travelling on the highway risk their car insurance policies by doing so, as some cover firms may not offer cheaper deals in the wake of an accident.

Firefighter Jason Fletcher stated that people need to keep their eyes open when driving in the area.

He said: "There are a lot of little side roads down there where people are pulling out and not seeing cars so people need to be vigilant."

Earlier this month, the same news source commented that council officials closed Longshaw Street and the top of Winwick Road after torrential rain resulted in floods.
