Nearly one million booklets put together by a road assistance company have been picked up by people looking to stay safe on the roads.The literature from GEM Motoring Assist contains tips on how best to keep out of harm's way when travelling alone.

David Williams, chief executive of the company, stated that a large number of females have picked up copies - activity indicative of changing attitudes.
