06 September 2007 Peterborough drivers under threat from impatient motorists
Traffic diversions and road works are proving too much of a hold-up for motorists in Peterborough, it has been reported.According to the Peterborough Today website, drivers in the area looking to bypass the safety measures are putting themselves and the lives of others at risk.
Similarly, the car insurance no-claims bonuses of local people may be compromised if an impatient road user were to cause a collision.
According to a police representative, such behaviour will not be tolerated and the guilty ones will punished.
"Any driver caught contravening a no entry sign will receive three penalty points on their licence and a £60 fine, which at least one motorist has already been given," the official commented.
Meanwhile, was passed by migrants in Peterborough this week passed a course in Englishness.
The aim of the qualification is to make people new to England familiar with the country's customs.
