Once a driver finds their car has been impounded, they can then use their phone in order to make a credit card payment on their fine, followed by a further £150 payment which gives them a code used to release the lock, it added.
And Traffic Management Products believes that this new process will see a reduction in violent confrontations with parking wardens.
"No one likes waiting for the clamping van," said company spokesman Chris Nicklin.
Meanwhile, drivers in East Grinstead may see an increase in the amount of clamping activity in the area, as the Surrey Mirror has reported that the number of parking officials operating locally will increase from eight to 12.
