03 April 2007 Drivers most likely to be 'nailed in April'

Motorists may be more likely to compromise their car insurance policy driving to theme parks, airports and holiday destinations in April, according to research.

With one million drivers reportedly three points away from a road ban, Car Parts Direct has warned bank holiday travellers to beware of mobile speed traps and fixed cameras during their journeys, Easier has reported.

Mark Cornwall, spokesperson for the company, claimed that there is constant threat of being caught as some mobile sites are situated in places unseen by motorists.

"Special attention has been given to include mobile speed camera sites on roads to holiday destinations," he said.

Meanwhile, the Highways Agency traffic director Derek Turner has announced that the body is to suspend road works on motorways and A-road across the UK over Easter.

"These roads are being made available to drivers over the holiday," he said, according to the Daily Star.
