19 February 2007 Two-year Northern Ireland road works begin

A two-year road works plan in Northern Ireland has begun today, causing potential delays to motorists, which may affect car insurance customers in the country.

Corporation Street, near the docks in Belfast, will be closed to through traffics for two years, according to the BBC.

And the news provider has announced that the delays have been caused as the Water Service attempts to upgrade the sewage system in the area, in news that may influence car insurance customers.

Drivers have been told to expect their journeys to take longer, as they will be diverted by a set of lights at Dock Street, taking motorists to York Street and Nelson Street, it added.

Last week, the Highways Agency predicted a similar problem for road-users in Launceston tonight, as re-surfacing work on the A30 between Dunheved and Bulsworthy is scheduled to take place tonight.
