08 January 2007 Pets top wackiest home claims list
Lloyd's TSB Insurance received some of its strangest house insurance claims in 2006 for incidents involving pets. The organisation has disclosed details of the claims, one of which involves a dog brushing his tail into a tray of white emulsion before proceeding to splash it all over the house.
Similarly, there were claims when a miscued snooker ball ended up in a goldfish bowl and a young girl attempted to entertain the inhabitants of a garden pond by dropping a digital radio in.
Phil Longley, managing director of the house insurance company, stated the need for customers to "have a good understanding of what your insurance policy does and doesn't cover".
"This can help to give you piece of mind when life is being unpredictable around you," he added.
The Sunday Mirror recently reported that Victoria Beckham has ordered husband David to find a new home for their two rottweilers.
