Emergency Home Assistance
If you are renewing your Home Insurance with us and are a homeowner*, your policy will still include Emergency Home Assistance which provides you with help when an emergency affects your home.**
We provide our Home Assistance if the following types of emergency affect your home:
- Plumbing and drainage problems, such as blocked drains or burst pipes
- Breakdown of main heating system, including your hot water system
- Loss of domestic power supply
- Breakage or failure of your sole toilet unit
- Home security, including locks and windows
- Vermin infestation.
You will be covered for call out charges; up to 2 hours labour; parts and materials up to a maximum of £100; alternative accommodation costs up to a maximum of £250. The maximum payable is £1000 in respect of all claims made during the Insurance Period. Making a claim will not affect your no claims bonus.
Home Assistance is administered by ARAG plc, underwritten by Brit Insurance Limited; claims handled by Cunningham Lindsey UK Ltd.
Important Notice
Policies purchased after the 30/11/2007, will no longer include Home Assistance.
